About
The Wolfson Foundation is an independent UK charity established in 1955 through the philanthropy of Sir Isaac Wolfson and his family. Based in London, it supports institutions that strengthen research, education, culture and the arts, with funding designed to improve the facilities and resources available to the public and academic communities.
Much of its grantmaking goes toward capital projects, including laboratories, libraries, museums, galleries and performance spaces. The foundation also supports research and education through universities, colleges and cultural organizations across the UK. By investing in buildings, equipment and other long-term infrastructure, it helps institutions create stronger environments for scientific discovery, learning and cultural participation.
