About
The Infosys Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Infosys, established in 1996 under the leadership of Sudha Murty, the company’s first woman engineer. Based in Bengaluru, India, it supports initiatives intended to improve access to essential services and create opportunities for communities facing social and economic disadvantage. Its work extends across India through partnerships with nonprofit organizations, public institutions and community groups.
Healthcare, education, rural development, women’s empowerment, social rehabilitation, arts and culture, and environmental sustainability form the core of its philanthropy. The foundation has supported hospitals and medical facilities, school infrastructure, scholarships, libraries, sanitation projects and programs for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
