Qilin Press has launched the inaugural Linda D. Addison Speculative Poetry Fellowship. The award supports BIPOC poets working on unpublished or in-progress speculative poetry collections. One poet will receive $1,000.
About the Linda D. Addison Speculative Poetry Fellowship Program
Qilin Press created the fellowship and named it for Linda D. Addison, a leading voice in speculative poetry. Addison was the first African American to win a Bram Stoker Award. The Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association named her a Grand Master in 2020.
The fellowship recognizes the leadership of BIPOC poets in shaping contemporary speculative poetry. It rewards visionary depth, thematic strength, and room for artistic growth.
This is the first cycle. Qilin Press has not yet published full guidelines, so applicants should check with the press for anything beyond the details below.
