About
Fuller 155 Suicide Awareness is a community-led suicide prevention and awareness initiative organized in memory of Erin Fuller, a former deputy with the Orleans County Sheriff's Office in New York who died by suicide in 2015. The initiative brings together family members, friends, volunteers, local businesses and community supporters to raise awareness of suicide prevention and encourage open conversations about mental health. Its annual fundraising activities include a basket raffle and community gathering, with a 5K fun run and walk introduced in 2026. Through these events, organizers seek to honor people who have died by suicide, support survivors and families affected by loss, and remind individuals experiencing emotional distress that help and support are available.
A central objective of Fuller 155 is to raise funds for suicide prevention, mental health awareness and related community services. Its fundraising events have supported local suicide prevention efforts, including contributions to the Orleans County Suicide Prevention Coalition and, through its 2026 event, support for behavioral health programs at Orleans Community Health. The initiative also brings attention to the importance of accessible mental health resources, particularly in rural communities where services may be limited. Local volunteers and businesses contribute donated raffle items, organizational assistance and financial support to make its events possible. By combining remembrance, community participation and charitable fundraising, Fuller 155 seeks to promote mental health awareness, strengthen local support networks and help connect people with resources during difficult times.
