About

Inspire Teenagers Foundation is a grassroots organization in Kenya dedicated to supporting vulnerable adolescents and teenage mothers, particularly in underserved and arid regions. Founded by Susan Wairimu, the organization draws on her personal experiences to help young women overcome stigma, poverty, and barriers to education and opportunity.

The foundation provides psychosocial support, sexual and reproductive health education, and mental health services to adolescents and young mothers. It promotes menstrual health and hygiene, raises awareness about gender-based violence, and creates safe spaces where young women can access guidance, build confidence, and receive support without discrimination.

Education and economic empowerment are central to its work. Through scholarships, academic guidance, vocational training, mentorship, digital skills development, and livelihood programs, the foundation helps young mothers continue their education, develop practical skills, and work toward financial independence for themselves and their children. It also offers parenting education to support the health and well-being of young families.

The organization promotes leadership development, gender equality, and climate justice through community engagement and sustainable livelihood initiatives. By partnering with local communities and other organizations, Inspire Teenagers Foundation seeks to break cycles of poverty, reduce discrimination against teenage mothers, and help young women build safer, healthier, and more independent futures.
