About

Memusi Foundation is a community-based nonprofit organization working with Maasai communities in Kenya to improve access to education and create opportunities for children and young people. The foundation focuses particularly on children from marginalized and underserved communities, where poverty, limited educational resources, and cultural barriers can affect school attendance and academic achievement.

Education is central to the foundation’s work. It supports children through access to schooling, learning materials, educational facilities, and other resources that help create a supportive learning environment. The organization aims to ensure that children, especially those from disadvantaged households, have opportunities to learn, develop their abilities, and pursue a brighter future.

Memusi Foundation also works to address challenges that prevent children from completing their education, including gender inequality, early marriage, and harmful traditional practices. Through community engagement and collaboration with families, schools, and local leaders, it encourages greater support for children’s education and promotes the importance of keeping girls and boys in school.

By working closely with local communities and development partners, Memusi Foundation seeks to strengthen educational opportunities and support long-term community development. Its work aims to help children gain the knowledge and skills they need to improve their futures while contributing to stronger, more resilient communities.
