Fans were left cracking up after seeing what IShowSpeed did during a charity football match. Speed was among the social media stars invited to play in Qatar’s 2025 Match for Hope.

$8.8 million has been raised for charity, with 22.5 million viewers tuning in for the match, as revealed by the event’s official website. In the same vein and a groundbreaking move, Bulgaria’s CSKA Sofia introduced a special clause to players’ contracts that started in February.

This clause mandates their participation in charitable initiatives, tagged the ‘CSKA Foundation’ clause, players have 30 days to choose a charity to work with. Last year, the club created the CSKA Foundation, which supports several initiatives, from socially responsible projects to charitable causes.

Players can choose from the list of CSKA Foundation causes. This innovative approach in sports stresses the importance of social responsibility and echoes the spirits of events like Qatar’s Match for Hope where IShowSpeed and other social media come together to raise funds and entertain.

IShowSpeed’s Offside error catches Henry’s attention

KSI and AboFlah led one team, while Speed and Chunkz led the other, Miniminter, Behzinga, Manny Brown and AngryGinge also took part. Each team was also comprised of several football icons, with Henry Andrea Pirlo and Andres Iniesta, the legendary players who played.

Just two minutes into the match, as his teammates built up play around the edge of the box, Speed was caught waiting in the penalty area, standing a whopping ten yards offside. It was a sight to behold, and fans quickly recalled his previous charity match gaffe when he wildly celebrated an offside goal.

Henry, who had been seen chatting with Speed before the game, could only watch on in amusement. Whatever advice he had given the Twitch star before kickoff, this was probably not what he had envisaged.

Speed could participate in the match after recovering from the WWE Royal Rumble event earlier this month. He entered the men’s Royal Rumble match at number eight, but a Spear from current Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker still obliterated him.

His tweet after the event, which showed the Twitch star in a neck brace with crutches, received over one million likes, making it the most-liked WWE-related tweet of all time, as reported. WWE chief content officer Paul’ Triple H’ Levesque confirmed in his post-show press conference that the company was planning to invite Speed back to the company at a later date.

“He loves the business, and he loves being around it, he’s excellent for it. I know he wants to do more things down the line, and we’d be happy to have him here,” he said.

IShowSpeed remains concentrated on his football tricks, and fans can’t wait to see what he does next, whether in the ring, on the pitch, or in another viral moment. One thing’s certain: when Speed is involved, entertainment is promised.
