About The iF Social Impact Prize

iF Design is an international organisation that promotes social innovation and excellence in design. The organisation sponsors the iF Social Impact Prize, which was established in 2017. The prize seeks to support NGOs and social enterprises that use design-driven approaches to address critical social challenges and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

The organisation must have already implemented projects; that is, it does not fund student concepts or new ideas from scratch. With the funding, the organisation will support initiatives worldwide that prioritise societal well-being, sustainability, and community empowerment.

Who Can Apply for the iF Social Impact Prize

• The projects must already be implemented as student ideas are not welcomed. 
• Organisations must focus on social impact initiatives through design. 
• Projects must align with at least one of the UN SDGs.

• Sector or thematic focus: Projects that align with UN SDGs initiatives on social impact and environmental protection. 

Application Process

• Create an account as a first-time user on the official website. 
• Send in the project proposal, including the organisation name, country, and project description, in English, not more than 650 characters. 
• Upload images, videos and PDF files of the project.
