The grant seeks to address the needs of underserved populations with a focus on helping early-stage organisations not older than two to five years in operation. Consideration is also given to eligible organisations with longer operating histories. 

The aim of the grant award is to support early-stage nonprofit and eligible for-profit entities by providing up to $300,000 in funding to help them serve populations affected by poverty, inequity, and limited access to essential services. The grant support spans up to three years, and declined applicants can reapply one year later.
