Tyrese announces Paul Walker’s charity $1 million milestone
Tyrese Gibson announced that Paul Walker’s charity, Reach Out WorldWide, has now raised $1 million. He said that the amount was raised in honour of his late costar, Paul Walker.
He shared the news alongside Paul Walker’s brother, Cody. They went up on a stage at FuelFest in West Palm Beach, FL, over the weekend.
Notably, Cody Walker organises FuelFest, a global car festival. A portion of the proceeds of the festival goes to Reach Out WorldWide.
However, some reports indicate that the charity has not yet reached the $1 million milestone. The organisation is confident that it’ll reach the landmark before the end of the year.
The organisation has been heavily involved in fundraising for the past 7 years and has also been involved in disaster response.
Reach Out WorldWide carrying on Paul Walker’s legacy
Paul Walker established Reach Out WorldWide in 2010 to get skilled volunteers to help places affected by natural disasters. The Haiti disaster inspired Paul to create the charity.
The fast and furious star died in 2013 in a fatal car crash after sustaining traumatic and thermal injuries.
Nevertheless, over a decade after Paul’s death, the charity still carries his legacy. Reach Out WorldWide is active in disaster responses all over the world.
The charity deploys teams of medical, construction, and first-responder professionals to help areas affected by disasters.
