The Role

This fundraising role focuses on growing income and engagement through community fundraising, individual giving, and corporate partnerships. It is a hands-on position where you will work directly with supporters, volunteers, local groups, and businesses to create meaningful fundraising experiences and expand the charity’s local presence.

You will plan and deliver events, nurture supporter relationships, and identify new opportunities for income generation while working independently and collaborating closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications, and service teams.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with individual fundraisers, schools, community groups, and local businesses
  • Identify and act on new opportunities for local fundraising support
  • Provide timely, friendly, and helpful communication to supporters

Events and Fundraising Activities

  • Support income generation from events, challenges, and supporter-led initiatives
  • Assist in planning, promoting, and delivering community fundraising events
  • Ensure a positive and engaging experience for all participants

Corporate Partnerships

  • Manage and strengthen existing corporate relationships
  • Support the development of new business partnerships alongside the Business Development Manager

Volunteer Support

  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers to support fundraising activities
  • Contribute to creating a positive and rewarding volunteer experience

Administration and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate supporter records using CRM systems such as Donorfy and Monday.com
  • Contribute to income tracking, reporting, and forecasting
  • Ensure high standards of data quality and consistent supporter journeys

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work with fundraising leadership to deliver the overall fundraising strategy
  • Collaborate with communications and service teams
  • Represent the charity at events, meetings, and presentations

Requirements

  • Experience in fundraising with the ability to manage responsibilities independently
  • Proven success in generating income and meeting targets
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Good financial awareness and ability to manage budgets
  • Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Understanding of GDPR and fundraising regulations
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to work
