About Native Flora Seeds

Native Flora Seeds is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to restore biodiversity by increasing the use of native plant seeds nationwide. Through seed distribution, grants, and community initiatives, the organization helps create habitats that sustain birds, bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. The Role

Native Flora Seeds is looking for a dedicated volunteer to help strengthen its fundraising and donor engagement activities. This remote role supports efforts to secure financial contributions, build meaningful supporter relationships, and develop initiatives that fund planting projects and community grant programs.

It is ideal for someone passionate about conservation who wants practical experience in nonprofit fundraising while contributing to environmental impact across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Campaigns

• Support the planning and delivery of online and community fundraising efforts
• Identify opportunities for donations, sponsorships, and partnerships
• Assist with seasonal campaigns tied to planting and environmental themes

Donor Engagement

• Help maintain relationships with donors and supporters
• Draft outreach emails, updates, and thank-you messages
• Contribute to strategies that improve donor retention

Grants and Partnerships (Preferred)

• Research relevant grant opportunities and funding sources
• Assist with preparing grant applications and funding requests
• Support outreach to mission-aligned partner organizations

Marketing Collaboration

• Work with marketing efforts to align fundraising messages with website and social media content
• Help share stories and updates that highlight the impact of donations

Tracking and Reporting

• Monitor fundraising activity and donation progress
• Assist in preparing impact reports for supporters and stakeholders

Requirements

• Interest in environmental conservation, biodiversity, or native plants
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely
• Interest or experience in fundraising, nonprofit work, or marketing
