The Role

Coram is hiring a Human Resources Apprentice to join its central HR team on an 18-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to move into a permanent HR Administrator role upon successful completion. Based in Bloomsbury, London, with hybrid working available, this role offers a strong foundation for someone beginning a career in Human Resources.

As part of this apprenticeship, you will work within a busy and supportive HR team while completing a Level 3 CIPD qualification in Human Resource Practice through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience. You will gain exposure to a wide range of HR activities and develop practical administrative and people-focused skills in a professional charity environment.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy and Leadership

  • Provide administrative support across the HR team’s daily operations
  • Assist with maintaining accurate employee records and documentation
  • Support HR processes that contribute to efficient service delivery across the organization
  • Help coordinate HR activities, meetings, and internal communications

Donor Engagement and Major Gifts

  • Deliver excellent internal customer service to colleagues and managers across Coram
  • Support onboarding, employee queries, and general HR correspondence
  • Assist in ensuring HR communications are clear, timely, and supportive

Campaign Culture and Ecosystem Building

  • Contribute to a collaborative and responsive HR team environment
  • Learn and apply best practices in HR administration and people support
  • Participate in apprenticeship learning while applying knowledge in the workplace
  • Support the team in maintaining inclusive, fair, and professional HR practices

Requirements

  • Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
  • Experience working in an administrative environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt within a busy department
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
