The Role
Social Interest Group is hiring an Area Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of multiple trauma-informed services within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. This role is responsible for ensuring services operate effectively, meet performance and compliance standards, and achieve positive outcomes for residents and participants.
The Area Manager will provide leadership and oversight to frontline managers and coordinators, manage service contracts, and support the continuous improvement of services. This position requires a confident and values-driven leader who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on operational support while participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy and Leadership
- Lead and manage multiple services to ensure high standards of delivery and performance
- Promote a culture of recovery, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Ensure services operate within trauma-informed and psychologically informed environments
- Support services to achieve positive outcomes including independence and stability
Donor Engagement and Major Gifts
- Oversee compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and commissioner requirements
- Manage service contracts and contribute to the development of new services
- Monitor performance, analyze data, and implement improvements where necessary
- Manage safeguarding, risk, and health and safety responsibilities across services
Campaign Culture and Ecosystem Building
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to frontline managers and coordinators
- Build effective relationships with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders
- Work strategically while remaining operationally engaged when needed
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion across services
Requirements
- Experience managing services within social care, supported housing, or a related field
- Strong leadership experience managing managers or multiple teams
- Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and psychologically informed environments (PIE)
- Experience managing contracts, compliance, and service delivery against KPIs
- Ability to analyze performance data and drive service improvements
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory requirements
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused approach
What They Offer
- Salary of £45,000 for a 37.5-hour work week, Monday to Friday
