AGRO-100 positions Pür Line as sustainable alternative for farmers

AGRO-100 has launched a new line of certified organic biostimulants under its Pür brand as the Canadian agricultural company approaches its 35th anniversary. The company unveiled plans to use the launch to expand climate-focused organic farming technologies while reducing water consumption through drone-based crop applications.

AGRO-100 targets sustainable farming with organic biostimulants

The new Pür line expands AGRO-100’s push into organic agriculture as demand for climate-resilient crop technologies continues to rise across North America.

AGRO-100, a Quebec-based agricultural technology company specializing in plant nutrition and crop performance products, developed the new line around amino acids, peptides, and citric acid, designed to strengthen plant resilience while reducing the impact of environmental stress on crops.

The products received certification from both Ecocert and the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), two of the largest organic agriculture certification bodies globally.

“The products in the Pür line will help plants produce more defense mechanisms, more enzymes, and more proteins so they don’t have to expend a lot of energy in a taxing way to produce these molecules,” said Pierre Migner, AGRO-100’s Director of Research and Development.

The launch arrives as organic farming continues expanding in Canada. According to AGRO-100, the country’s organic agriculture sector has grown by 11% since 2020, with roughly 7,700 certified organic farms nationwide and approximately 3,000 operating in Quebec alone.

The broader push toward sustainable agriculture increasingly overlaps with nonprofit and climate-focused conversations around food security, water conservation, and environmentally responsible farming systems.

Drone applications become central to AGRO-100’s environmental strategy

A major component of the Pür rollout centers on drone-assisted crop spraying technology designed to dramatically reduce water consumption during agricultural applications.

According to AGRO-100, drone applications require only 20 liters of water per hectare, roughly half the amount used in aerial spraying by aircraft and one-tenth of the volume required for traditional ground spraying systems.

The company told Charity Journal that the environmental efficiencies behind drone applications represent one of the strongest long-term advantages tied to the Pür line.

“The products can be applied using traditional methods, but their compatibility with drone applications also represents a strong environmental advantage,” company executive Alexander Dumas said. “Drone applications require significantly less water than conventional spraying methods, giving growers more flexibility while helping reduce water use in the field.”

The company currently plans to launch the Pür line in Canada before eventually expanding into international markets, including Mexico and the United States, following additional field validation and regulatory approvals.

The expansion strategy reflects growing pressure on agricultural producers to balance higher crop yields with sustainability goals tied to climate resilience and water management.

AGRO-100 focuses on technical support for farming communities

Dumas said AGRO-100 is pairing the product rollout with ongoing technical education and field support programs aimed at improving adoption among agricultural communities.

The company operates a “train-the-trainer” model where research teams work directly with distributors, agronomists, and regional field advisors to support growers throughout the farming season.

“Our technical teams provide continuous education, field support, and remote guidance so local partners can confidently support growers in their regions,” Dumas told Charity Journal.

The company’s research and development work takes place at AGRO-100’s laboratory at Laval University in Quebec City, where teams continue testing biological farming technologies focused on improving crop efficiency while lowering environmental impact.

AGRO-100 said the Pür line forms part of the company’s broader strategy to expand its presence across North America and Latin America while advancing lower-impact agricultural production systems.
