The Environmental and Economic Resource Centre (EERC) Fellowship places early-career Nigerian researchers inside one of West Africa’s most active agricultural and environmental policy organizations for a fully funded residential research experience. Cohort 4 continues the program’s track record of turning promising academics into credible, policy-relevant voices in Nigeria’s agri-food and environmental sectors.
About the EERC Fellowship Program
Administered by EERC, a nonprofit scientific research organization based in Abeokuta, Nigeria, the fellowship embeds selected researchers at EERC’s headquarters for a structured period of supervised, policy-oriented study. Fellows work alongside in-house researchers and visiting supervisors drawn from Nigerian universities, producing evidence-based outputs designed to directly inform government and institutional decision-making. The program covers four thematic programs: agriculture and environmental management, natural resource conservation, livelihood and economic development, and human resource and capacity building. Female researchers are strongly encouraged to apply at every cohort.
