The Role

Muscular Dystrophy UK is seeking a Healthcare and Community Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events, support programs, and engagement activities for individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.

This role is ideal for an experienced events or engagement professional who enjoys managing multiple projects, building strong stakeholder relationships, and creating accessible, inclusive experiences that provide meaningful support to communities. Working closely with colleagues and regional teams, the successful candidate will help ensure that events and professional development programs are delivered to a high standard while maximizing participation and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Delivery

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver a range of healthcare and community events
  • Manage event logistics, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery
  • Support the planning and implementation of professional training programs
  • Monitor event performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Community Engagement and Support

  • Deliver events that provide information, support, and connection for individuals and families affected by muscle-wasting conditions
  • Ensure events are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to community needs
  • Maximize engagement opportunities across different audiences and regions
  • Contribute to the development of meaningful support services and community initiatives

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with regional teams, healthcare professionals, and internal colleagues
  • Build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders and partners
  • Coordinate effectively across departments to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Support collaborative approaches that strengthen organizational impact

Program Management and Administration

  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively
