The Partnership to End Homelessness is a New York City nonprofit dedicated to preventing homelessness through housing stability, rental assistance, crisis intervention, mental health support, and community-based services. The Role

The Data Analyst will play a key role in managing data systems, reporting, and analysis that support the organization’s homelessness prevention programs. Working closely with program, finance, and development teams, this position will transform complex data into meaningful insights that improve services, strengthen funding opportunities, and support informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Analysis

  • Oversee data collection, validation, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage internal databases and external platforms including HMIS and public data sources.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, outcomes, and opportunities.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, visualizations, and performance metrics.

Systems & Organizational Support

  • Lead improvements to data systems, workflows, and reporting processes.
  • Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on data management and analytics.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and staff guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements, contracts, and funder expectations.

Collaboration & Strategic Insights

  • Partner with program, finance, and development teams to support grants, evaluations, and organizational planning.
  • Maintain relationships with government agencies, vendors, and external partners.
  • Provide leadership with actionable insights that support equitable outcomes and service improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in data analytics, information management, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of housing, homelessness prevention, human services, or social impact data systems.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing compliance and reporting for grants or government contracts.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HMIS, Census data tools, Housing Vacancy Survey data, and NYC OpenData.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
