The Role

The Parkinson’s Foundation is seeking a Manager, Field Advancement to strengthen and expand community engagement efforts across its national chapter network. This role will focus on building systems, tools, and strategies that support outreach teams, drive consistency, and increase volunteer engagement, partnerships, event participation, and revenue growth. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Field Advancement, the successful candidate will help translate organizational goals into practical frameworks that improve performance across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations and Systems Development

  • Build and manage outreach tools, systems, and operational frameworks.
  • Establish standards for tracking, prioritizing, and executing outreach activities.
  • Monitor adoption of systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to encourage consistent implementation.

Partnership and Community Engagement

  • Develop frameworks that guide community partnership development.
  • Support chapters in building relationships with healthcare providers and community organizations.
  • Identify and scale successful partnership models.
  • Help define and track outcomes related to partnerships, referrals, volunteers, and fundraising.

Volunteer and Participation Growth

  • Create pathways that convert community engagement into volunteer and participant involvement.
  • Develop tools to identify, recruit, and activate volunteers.
  • Support strategies that connect outreach activities to fundraising and mission outcomes.

Training and Performance Support

  • Design and deliver practical training for outreach staff.
  • Reinforce best practices in partnership building and engagement.
  • Analyze performance data and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, nonprofit operations, or a related field.
  • Experience developing systems, processes, and operational frameworks.
  • Proven ability to influence teams and stakeholders without direct management authority.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Understanding of how engagement activities contribute to participation and revenue growth.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% and work occasional evenings or weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, patient advocacy, or nonprofit fundraising.
  • Experience building volunteer engagement pipelines.
  • Familiarity with peer-to-peer fundraising programs.
