Anthropic is putting $150 million behind a national fellowship that sends trained, paid early-career professionals directly into nonprofits across America to build lasting AI capacity where it matters most. Claude Corps is a direct response to one of the defining inequalities of the AI moment: the organizations serving the people most exposed to AI-driven disruption are also the least equipped to benefit from it.
About Claude Corps
Launched on June 11, 2026, Claude Corps is administered through a three-way partnership. Anthropic funds the program, sets its strategic direction, and provides Claude expertise. CodePath, a nonprofit focused on technical education for first-generation and low-income students, recruits, trains, and employs fellows as their employer of record. Social Finance administers philanthropic capital and leads measurement and evaluation. The first cohort of 100 fellows begins in October 2026, with 900 additional fellows placed across two further cohorts starting January and August 2027. Host organizations confirmed for the program include the International Rescue Committee, Goodwill Industries International, RAINN, Code for America, Year Up United, Braven, and the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, among others.
