Through the Faculty for Homeless and Inclusion Health, Pathway brings together professionals, researchers, and practitioners to influence policy, share evidence, and improve practice across health and care systems.

The Role

The Communications and Publications Support Officer plays a key role in helping Pathway communicate its work, strengthen professional networks, and deliver high-quality publications and events that support better outcomes for marginalised communities. This varied role combines communications, digital content, event coordination, and publication support, ensuring that valuable knowledge and resources reach the people who need them most.

Key Responsibilities

Communications and Digital Content

  • Produce and distribute the Faculty for Homeless and Inclusion Health fortnightly newsletter using Mailchimp.
  • Develop, schedule, and publish engaging social media content across platforms.
  • Monitor social media performance and provide analytics reports.
  • Update the Pathway website with news, publications, and resources, while supporting ongoing improvements.

Publications and Knowledge Sharing

  • Coordinate the publication of major reports by liaising with designers and printers.
  • Provide publishing and administrative support to Fellows undertaking research projects.
  • Edit, format, and present reports, publications, and organisational documents to a high standard.
  • Ensure Pathway resources remain organised and accessible through SharePoint and OneDrive.

Events and Network Support

  • Organise and support online meetings for the Faculty and its specialist subgroups.
  • Coordinate specialist Masterclasses for professionals working with marginalised groups.
  • Support the delivery of external events, including the annual Faculty conference.
  • Maintain databases and mailing lists to support engagement activities.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience in communications or administration roles, including remote working environments. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, alongside experience using WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, MS Teams, and social media platforms professionally. Attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, and an understanding of confidentiality and data protection are vital.

Experience supporting events, conferences, and producing newsletters would be advantageous.
