TLC provides specialist services that support individuals and families affected by domestic abuse and other forms of adversity. Through prevention, intervention, and recovery programmes, the organisation works to create safer communities and empower people to build healthier futures.
The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker delivers interventions designed to help individuals recognise, understand, and change abusive behaviours. Working with participants engaged in Domestic Abuse Prevention Programmes (DAPP) and Domestic Abuse Interventions, you will facilitate both individual and group sessions that encourage accountability, promote behavioural change, and prioritise the safety and wellbeing of victims, survivors, and children.
This role involves delivering face-to-face and online interventions, including two evening group sessions each week, and supporting individuals who have been served Domestic Abuse Protection Orders (DAPOs). Travel across Greater Manchester is required.
Candidates should have experience supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse through one-to-one and group interventions. A strong understanding of domestic abuse, its impact on adults and children, safeguarding, risk assessment, and trauma-informed practice is essential. Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in areas such as child protection, family support, or substance misuse is desirable. Additional language skills and group facilitation experience would be advantageous.
TLC offers flexible working around core hours, an annual Continuous Professional Development allowance, generous annual leave entitlement, Birthday leave, and the opportunity to work within a supportive and values-driven organisation committed to diversity and inclusion.
