About the AFRIKA KOMMT! Fellowship Programme
AFRIKA KOMMT is a fellowship initiative supported by German industry and implemented by GIZ. The programme selects high-performing young professionals from across Africa and places them in major German companies for structured corporate exposure. It is the perfect chance for talented Africans to get the necessary experience to thrive everywhere they go.
Fellows begin with an intensive German language course. Then taught in management training, intercultural workshops, and networking courses. This is done under a conducive environment and with the best instructors. Furthermore, they complete an eight-month professional placement within a partner company in Germany.
The programme covers participation costs. It also provides structured mentoring and alumni support after completion. Graduates join a network of professionals whose aim is to foster business cooperation between Africa and Germany.

- Typical grant amount: EUR 2,500
- Maximum award: EUR 30,000

Who Can Apply for the AFRIKA KOMMT Fellowship Programme
Eligible organisation types
