BTS member J-Hope recently delivered an electrifying performance at the Yellow Coin Collection Charity Gala, a charity event that was hosted by France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron, on Thursday.
The event which took place at the La Défense Arena in Nanterre, Paris, was aimed to raise funds for hospitalized children and adolescents and also marked J-Hope’s highly anticipated return to the European stage after his mandatory two-year military service.
A night of music and purpose
At the personal invitation of Brigitte Macron, J-Hope opened the high profile gala with his dynamic three-song set, featuring “on the street (solo version)” from his special album Hope on the Street Vol. 1, “More” from his solo debut album Jack in The Box, and BTS’s global hit “MIC Drop.”
During the event, J-Hope’s performance left the 35,000-strong audience mesmerized, with the arena glowing purple from BTS’s official light sticks, ARMY Bombs. Fans chanted his name long before his performance, setting the tone for a night of unforgettable memories.
The Yellow Coin Collection Charity Gala was organized by a hospital foundation led by Brigitte Macron. Insiders’ report confirmed that the event which attracted international artists and philanthropic supporters from around the globe got sold out within 10 minutes of opening the ticket sales and raised funds to improve the care of hospitalized children and adolescents.
Commenting through his agency BigHit Music on the event, J-Hope reflected on the evening,
“I was delighted to meet everyone at such a meaningful gathering. It’s an incredible feeling to bring hope and comfort to people through music and dance.” he stated
He also emphasized his gratitude to the fans and organizers for their effort in creating an atmosphere that is filled with love and positivity.

J-Hope’s return to Europe in style
As mentioned earlier, this performance has marked J-Hope’s return to Europe following the completion of his compulsory military duties, as well as his recent standout appearance at Louis Vuitton’s Fall-Winter 2025 fashion show in Paris.
At the show, he shared the stage with global icon Pharrell Williams, further solidifying his influence in both music and fashion and also symbolizing the power of global collaboration and compassion.
