The Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman Award Trust is calling for nominations of teachers, college and university professors and instructors who have made a positive impact in the lives of their students. Nominees may be former or current teachers and academic professionals. Self-nomination is not allowed, but individuals can nominate their teachers for the award. Applications are open until June 15 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The award also comes with a cash reward of up to $25,000. 

About The Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman Award Trust

The Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman Award Trust was established by Gail McKnight Beckman to honour and celebrate teachers and academic members who have impacted the lives of their students positively. The award is for both current and former teachers and faculty members. To receive the award, the teacher or academic members must be nominated by other people or their students. They must also have inspired their students to either create an organisation or movement that benefits their community. 

The trust award rewards successful nominees with up to $25,000, and it is open only to citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Past recipients of the award cannot be nominated again for the current year’s award.

Application Process

  1. Anyone can submit a nomination form to appreciate their former or current teachers. 
  2. The application form can be accessed on the official grant portal. 
  3. Download and fill it with the nominee’s details. 
  4. Attach necessary documents and send the application in a PDF file using the nominee’s name and last name via email to: grantadministration@wellsfargo.com
  5. Use the subject: “Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman Award Nomination Application Package” while sending the email. 
  6. The trust’s advisory committee is in charge of reviewing all applications, and successful awardees will be notified of the next stage of the award.
