About the Excellence in Governance Fellowship

This fellowship is designed to deepen governance knowledge for trustees of hospitals and health systems through structured dialogue with healthcare experts and peer board members. The curriculum explores quality and patient safety, effective board-CEO partnerships, community engagement, and strategic oversight. Fellows meet three times in person at MHA headquarters in Okemos, Michigan, with additional virtual sessions throughout the fellowship period to reinforce learning and collaboration.
