Gate City Bank: A legacy of giving back to the community
In 2025, Gate City Bank has once again demonstrated its unprecedented dedication and unfaltering support to different charities in the region by donating over $217,000 to Giving Hearts Day Charities. This has affirmed the long existing philanthropic relations the bank has facilitated throughout the years amounting to over $ 2.2 million in the span of eleven years.
Gateway City Bank also showcases its evergreen support in the community through donation drives, sponsorships, and lending a helping hand during emergencies. The Giving Hearts Day campaign is one of the many initiatives which lends a substantial amount to non profits enabling them to fund their causes.
One of the key highlights of this year’s contributions was Gate City Bank’s nomination contest, which allowed community members to vote for their preferred charities. The contest saw an overwhelming response, with over 166,000 entries.

Haven, a nonprofit based in Fargo that provides support for grieving parents who have lost a child, was awarded the top prize of $25,000. Additionally, the Best Friends Mentoring Program in Dickinson and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley each received $10,000.
Furthermore, in conjunction to these newly provided funds from voting, Gate City Bank also completely matched all contributions made by its employees. Along with these donations, the bank adopts the ethos of profoundly caring and supporting the community while giving back funds to the place they were obtained from.
