IBRO Parenthood Grant Program – Apply Now

The IBRO Parenthood Grant provides research funding to early-career researchers or principal investigators worldwide who are experiencing pregnancy, childbirth, or adoption-related caregiving responsibilities. The grant supports these professionals with at least 7 years of experience to fund their research expenses. The organisation offers funding of USD 2,000 to USD 4,000 for projects up to 1 year. The application deadline for the first round is February 28, 2026, with the second round opening on July 1, 2026.

About The IBRO Parenthood Grant

The International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO) is a global neuroscience organisation that supports brain research and capacity building worldwide. The IBRO Parenthood Grant is an initiative of the organisation to support and encourage principal investigators who are pregnant, have recently given birth (within the past 4 months), or are undertaking caregiving responsibilities through adoption. The funds are provided to enable them to continue their research projects independently, without the disruptions that these responsibilities can create in academic research careers.

The grant is open to researchers with over seven years of experience worldwide. They or their partners are eligible for the grant, provided they meet the application criteria, which include having at least one published peer-reviewed paper.
