The Identification of Children for HIV Treatment Call for Proposals 2026–2028 supports community-based partners, medical institutions, and non-governmental organisations. The grant calls for proposals from eligible organisations to submit proposals for evidence-based approaches to identify children and adolescents from ages 0–14 living with HIV and link them to treatment and care. The Identification of Children for HIV Treatment call for proposals for 2026–2028 is sponsored by Aidsfonds, a global HIV-focused organisation. The organisations, through their grant program supports community-based partners, medical institutions, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in early identification of children living with HIV (0–14) and link them effectively to antiretroviral therapy and retention in care. 

The proposals should emphasise evidence-based strategies and health system strengthening. The organisation provides funding for five applications per eligible country, that is, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, and Nigeria.

Who Can Apply for the Identification of Children for HIV Treatment Call

  • The project must focus on case identification and on strengthening the healthcare system. 
  • Only registered organisations with at least 5 years of experience in paediatric HIV programming can apply.
