About

Instituto Ayrton Senna is a Brazilian nonprofit organization founded in 1994 by Ayrton Senna’s family, shortly after the Formula One champion’s death. Based in São Paulo, it works to improve public education by helping schools and education systems develop the skills students need to succeed in school, work and society. Its approach combines research, educational innovation and partnerships with public-sector institutions.

The institute focuses particularly on strengthening learning and developing both academic and socioemotional skills among children and young people. It works with education departments, teachers and school leaders to design, test and scale evidence-based practices, while also producing research and tools that can inform education policy. Over the years, its programs have reached millions of students and educators across Brazil, making it one of the country's most prominent organizations dedicated to educational development.
