The Role

Blood Cancer UK is seeking an Associate Director of Fundraising to lead and grow a high-performing fundraising department. This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering long-term, sustainable income growth across a varied fundraising portfolio while guiding a large and motivated team.

You will join at a pivotal time as the charity advances its first major appeal, having already raised over £8 million toward a £25 million goal. The role requires strong experience working with high-value supporters, as well as the ability to inspire broader audiences and grassroots fundraisers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across multiple fundraising income streams
  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team of nearly 50 fundraising professionals
  • Drive income growth through innovation, new opportunities, and strong stewardship
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-value donors and influential stakeholders
  • Oversee the development of mid-value fundraising programmes and supporter engagement initiatives
  • Work closely with senior colleagues across the organization to align fundraising with wider goals
  • Contribute to the success of the major appeal and future high-value campaigns
  • Ensure excellent supporter experiences and long-term engagement
