The Role
Weston Park Cancer Charity is seeking a Campaigns Manager to lead the planning and delivery of impactful campaigns that raise awareness, strengthen community engagement, promote support services, highlight grant-funded projects, and drive fundraising growth.
This role will focus on creating audience-centered campaigns that showcase the charity’s impact through compelling storytelling, helping more people understand the support available while inspiring greater involvement from donors, supporters, healthcare partners, and local communities.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning and Delivery
- Develop and deliver multi-channel campaigns aligned with the charity’s strategic priorities.
- Create campaigns that raise awareness of support services, fundraising initiatives, grant programmes, and the charity’s overall mission.
- Manage campaigns from concept development through implementation and evaluation.
- Coordinate campaign schedules, budgets, creative assets, and stakeholder contributions.
- Ensure all campaign activity reflects the charity’s values, brand, and tone of voice.
Storytelling and Impact Communications
- Create engaging content that demonstrates the real-world impact of the charity’s work.
- Gather and develop case studies, patient stories, supporter testimonials, photography, videos, and impact data.
- Work sensitively with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and grant recipients to share authentic experiences.
- Translate complex healthcare and funding information into accessible public-facing content.
- Highlight how fundraising supports healthcare improvements, cancer services, research, and community programmes.
Fundraising and Audience Engagement
- Develop campaigns that increase fundraising income and supporter engagement.
- Support fundraising activities including community events, appeals, corporate partnerships, and individual giving initiatives.
- Create supporter engagement journeys that encourage long-term involvement and loyalty.
- Identify opportunities to attract new audiences and broaden supporter reach.
- Help strengthen the charity’s fundraising performance through targeted communications.
Requirements
- Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing or awareness campaigns.
- Strong storytelling and content creation skills across digital and traditional channels.
- Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and campaign deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, healthcare partners, supporters, and external suppliers.
- Experience using audience insights, analytics, and campaign performance data.
- Commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and audience-focused communications.
