The Role

St Mungo’s is seeking a Skills and Employment Deputy Manager to coordinate learning, training, and employment opportunities across its Islington services while supporting the day-to-day management of a semi-independent accommodation service. This role focuses on helping clients progress toward independence, employment, and successful move-on outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate skills, training, and employment programmes.
  • Support the operational management of a semi-independent service.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop project workers and volunteers.
  • Build partnerships with training, education, and employment providers.
  • Support clients through personalized progression and move-on plans.
  • Monitor performance, outcomes, and service quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals.
  • Strong management and team leadership abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and partnership-building skills.
  • Ability to motivate and empower people to achieve their goals.
  • Commitment to delivering person-centered support services.
