SEED Madagascar is a British charity working in partnership with communities in southeast Madagascar to deliver sustainable development programmes. Its work spans rural livelihoods, education, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), community health and environmental conservation, while promoting research and evidence-based approaches to long-term development.
The Role
SEED Madagascar is seeking a MEL Coordinator to lead its Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) function across a diverse portfolio of programmes. Based in Fort Dauphin, Madagascar, you will manage a small MEL team, strengthen data systems, support evidence-based decision-making and work closely with programme teams to improve project quality and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and strengthen MEL systems across multiple programmes.
- Manage and mentor a team of MEL Officers.
- Develop and oversee data collection tools, log frames and evaluation plans.
- Support programme teams with data analysis and adaptive learning.
- Deliver MEL training and capacity-building activities.
- Contribute to donor reporting and organisational learning.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 2ā4 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning.
- Experience developing MEL plans, log frames and data collection tools.
- Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
- Leadership or staff mentoring experience.
- Fluent English; French language skills are desirable.
