The Role
KSS is hiring a Supporter Experience Officer to be a key point of contact for people who engage with and support the charity. Based on-site in Rochester, this permanent role focuses on delivering high-quality supporter care through responsive communication, accurate record-keeping, and cross-team support during busy periods.
You will handle a wide range of supporter interactions including calls, emails, donation acknowledgements, visitor welcomes, and query resolution. The role is well suited to someone with strong organizational and communication skills who is passionate about helping others and interested in building a career within the charity sector, even without direct prior experience.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy and Leadership
- Manage incoming supporter calls, emails, and correspondence in a timely and professional manner
- Process post, donations, and supporter communications accurately
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate supporter records within internal systems
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth supporter service delivery
Donor Engagement and Major Gifts
- Thank supporters for donations and acknowledge contributions appropriately
- Respond to queries, feedback, and complaints with care and professionalism
- Welcome visitors to the charity and provide a positive first impression
- Support other teams during busy periods to maintain excellent supporter care
Campaign Culture and Ecosystem Building
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all supporters
- Represent the charity’s values and mission in all interactions
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across teams to ensure consistent service quality
- Participate in training and development opportunities to build skills and confidence
