LFC Foundation Legends squad expands for charity clash against Chelsea

A further six players have been confirmed for the latest LFC Foundation legends charity match at Anfield.

The impending charity match has raised attention from ex football players due to the inclusion of new players for the match. They will now play alongside former and current Liverpool celebs. 

The event is set to take place on March 22 with the kick-off clocking in at 3pm GMT. These incorporate players such as Westerveld, Dudek, Sissoko, and Vignal who all gather for the astounding cause. 

Florent Sinama-Pongolle will also make his season return having played in the 2022 legends game where Liverpool Legends emerged victorious 2-1 over Manchester United Legends. 

Liverpool celebs Igor Biscan and David James are also set to join the fray.

James is returning to Anfield after playing a staggering 277 times. As for Biscan, he gets to reminisce about some memories stemming from the unforgettable semi-final against Chelsea.

LFC Foundation: Supporting a worthy cause

Together with Forever Reds, the match was arranged to benefit the LFC Foundation and other beneficiaries like the Chelsea FC Foundation and Chelsea Players Trust. The funds collected will help support different healthcare initiatives that focus on health disparities within the region of Liverpool City.

Parish, the CEO of LFC Foundation, has said that the region is known to have lower life expectancies than national averages in spite of having ghigher obesity and mental health challenges. The foundation targets children and adults of all ages through its various health programs to work on both their physical and mental health.

These games not only unite football enthusiasts, but they also improve lives with the proceeds.

 “Through the funds raised we can make a real change in the world.” stated Matt Parish, the chief executive officer of LFC Foundation,

Prices for adults are set at 29, whereas concession tickets are 19 and junior tickets are 9. Those willing to spend more have the option of starting from 60, which includes a match program and refreshments. This, along with the hospitality packages that start at 195.
