The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) has recently signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Qatar charity to reinforce their partnership in the field of Social protection.
According to the report, the agreement was formalized in the presence of both the HE Minister of Social Development and Family, Buthania bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, and HE Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Charity, Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim AL-Thani.
Qatar 2030 vision of social welfare excellence
The agreement is set to improve cooperation between the two groups in the area of delivering social assistance to vulnerable groups. The Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the MSDF, Fahd bin Mohammed AI Khayarin, and the CEO of Qatar Charity, Yousef bin Ahmed AI Kuwari signed the MoU for both parties.
Speaking on the collaboration, Yousef bin Ahmed AI Kuwari highlighted its importance, especially in fostering partnership between the two organizations working towards a common goal. He also shared his optimism that the collaboration will maximize the impact of social protection across the nation.
Furthermore, the MoU is also in alignment with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 which stresses sustainable development and social welfare. It also emphasizes the pivotal role of MSDF in crafting as well as implementing policies that promote family and social well-being.
In a report, the MSDF highlighted that the MoU initiatives are targeted at groups such as social security beneficiaries, individuals with disabilities, productive families, and other vulnerable communities. Their official also emphasized that their current collaboration with the Qatar Charity will undoubtedly pave the way for tailored support hence ensuring comprehensive care and assistance.
With the MoU agreement solidly in place, both organizations have plans to turn their focus on joint endeavors that will bring improvement to the lives of marginalized groups. There are high hopes that this partnership will mark an important step towards the rest of a unified approach to future social welfare in Qatar.
