During a joint security operation in Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA), the Kaduna State Police Command rescued 23 kidnapped victims. DSP Mansir Hassan, the Command’s spokesperson, revealed that security operatives launched an operation on February 2, 2025, acting on credible intelligence.
As the team entered the Doka Village forest, they encountered a group of armed bandits attempting to relocate their victims to Kajuru Forest. Following the duo’s confrontation, the combined team of police and military personnel repelled the bandits with gunshot wounds, which forced them to flee.
This act led to the rescue of the abducted victims who had been kidnapped in Kauru LGA.
Strengthening security measuresÂ
As all the rescued victims have been united with their families, the security personnel’s efforts have been intensified in surveillance and patrols across the region to prevent future occurrences.CP Rabiu Muhammad, the Commissioner of Police, has reiterated the Command’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property.
Residents were assured of the continued collaboration with the military and other security agencies to combat crime, which is in tandem with Governor Uba Sani’s security vision for Kaduna State. Residents are encouraged to be vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly to the appropriate quarters.Â
Efforts remain underway to track and apprehend the running bandits and nip this inhumane act in the bud. As the pressure on the criminal network in Kaduna increases, security forces remain unwavering in their commitment to restoring peace in the region.
