Qatar Charity (QC) over the years has significantly impacted Bangladesh, especially in 2024 when over 2,235 projects beneficial to over a million people including clean water and quality health care were implemented. These initiatives which spread across multiple districts were aimed at uplifting the vulnerable community members while promoting sustainable development.
Qatar Charity initiative provides basic amenities to thousands
The major priority for QC’s efforts was the improvement of current access to clean water in the communities. Through efforts and commitment, the organization was able to complete 1,930 water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects in about 14 districts which would benefit over 96,500 people struggling with contaminated water sources.

Also, the QC organization built over 216 mosques which created prayer space for over 43,200 worshippers in 40 districts. Their prioritization of education led to the construction of 33 schools as well as Quran memorization centers which provide quality learning opportunities to 5,050 students in 13 districts.
Another key aspect of QC’s initiative was in the Health area where the organization also successfully funded 113 children born with congenital heart diseases with life-saving treatments, hence offering these families who could not afford the medical expenses relief. Additionally, QC has continued in its dedication to sponsoring orphan care where they have sponsored 4,426 orphans while building five orphan care centers to support 1,000 orphaned children.
Plans and relief efforts for Bangladesh
QC contributed greatly to assisting during Bangladesh’s humanitarian crisis. In the 2024 floods of Noakhali district, the organization supplied emergency food and water to 318,000 affected individuals while during Ramadan, Eid, and winter, QC seasonal aid was provided to 68,620 people where disadvantaged families were provided with food, clothing, and other household products.
In bit to promote a long-term economic growth initiative, QC has executed four income-generating initiatives across two districts and provided 20 beneficiaries with farmland to support their families. They also executed 40 housing units in 18 districts that served as a home for 238 people.
A spokesperson for QC pointed out the commitment of the charity to expand its efforts in the year 2025 by implementing more than 2,000 new projects in Bangladesh.Â

The aftermath of the Qatar charity goals for 2024 is most evident in Bangladesh where hope, stability, and urgently needed resources were provided to countless individuals.
