Qatar Charity (QC) has launched its highly anticipated Ramadan campaign for 1446 AH—2025 AD, titled “Giving Lives On.” The campaign aims to benefit 4.5 million people in need across 40 countries, including Qatar, focusing on Gaza, where over two million people face a food crisis.
Qatar Charity has become one of the world’s largest humanitarian and development organizations, providing life-saving assistance to those affected by conflicts, persecution, and natural disasters. Qatar Charity creates durable solutions for poverty using sustainable development programs in social welfare, water and sanitation, education, nutrition, and economic empowerment.
As part of its ‘Giving Lives’ Ramadan campaign, Qatar Charity is intensifying its humanitarian efforts in Gaza while building on its global partnerships, including UK-MED and Velan Chocolate, to strengthen its healthcare services and humanitarian response worldwide.
Qatar’s Charity: A legacy of generosity
Qatar Charity’s “Giving Lives On” campaign will provide aid and development projects, address other basic needs, and support early recovery. At the press conference opening, Mr Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, Qatar Charity’s Chief Marketing Officer, appreciated donors and encouraged them to support the campaign, which aims to help millions in need, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, and vulnerable families.
Fakhroo explained that the campaign’s name, “Giving Lives On”, reflects Qatar’s deeply rooted generosity and encourages people to emulate their ancestors’ kindness, especially during Ramadan, to help those in need globally. He said donors can contribute to the campaign online (qcharity.org/en) and via mobile app (qch.qa/appen).
Qatar Charity’s seasonal projects and humanitarian aid objective is to support over 2.1 million people within Qatar and internationally, with an estimated cost of QR 166 million during Ramadan.
Chief Global Programs Officer at Qatar Charity, Mr Nawaf Abdulla AlHammadi, detailed the Ramadan projects outside Qatar, indicating that they include ‘Feed the Fasting’ (hot meals and food packages), ‘Zakat al-Fitr’, and ‘Eid Clothing’. AlHammadi explained that these projects will be implemented in 39 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe, prioritizing crisis-affected countries like Palestine, Syria, Sudan, and Yemen.
He mentioned that Gaza will receive significant attention, with plans for the largest Iftar project on Ramadan’s first day and the dispatch of relief convoys. He further stated that the campaign will mobilize support to implement various projects (shelter, water, mosques, orphan sponsorship, etc.) with an estimated cost of QR 282 million, benefiting 2.4 million people.
The Chief Local Programs Officer at Qatar Charity, Mr Faisal Rashid AlFehaida, mentioned locally implemented Ramadan projects, including ‘Mobile Iftar for Farm Workers’ in seven locations and ‘Iftar Tables’ (Ramadan tents) at 46 locations. He also noted ‘Ramadan Supply’ for families with limited incomes, widows, divorced women, shopping coupons, and Zakat Al-Fitr and Eid gifts.
AlFehaida added that aid will be provided through the ‘Alaqraboon App’ for debtors, prisoners, and humanitarian cases.
A Call to Action
As millions face hunger and uncertainty, Qatar Charity’s “Giving Lives On” campaign allows people worldwide to unite in kindness. Through their contributions, donors can ensure that food, clothing, and shelter reach those in dire need, helping to ease suffering and uplift communities. Fakhroo’s message was clear.
“Every contribution, no matter how small, can change lives. Let us come together this Ramadan to give, support, and ensure that kindness lives on.”
