About the Reham Al-Farra Memorial Journalism Fellowship
The fellowship provides an intensive placement at the UN Headquarters. This is where selected journalists are assigned their portfolios with the Department of Global Communications. During training, participants are trained in UN press operations, briefings, press conferences, and media systems.
In addition to newsroom experience, fellows attend professional briefings, media training, and discussions with senior communication officials. The programme will improve media reporting on global issues and help fellows to understand how the UN dynamics. Fellows should create original content about the UN’s work and challenges for publication in their Xiuntei media outlets.
