About The East African Girls and Young Feminist Fund

The East African Girls and Young Feminist Fund (EAGYFF) is sponsored by the CIVSOURCE Africa platform as a funding project targeted at women and girls. With the funding, eligible women-led groups and feminist organisations can carry out their projects and contribute to the betterment of their society.

To become eligible, the groups or organisations must focus on alleviating feminist issues and provide change and inclusion of women and young girls in the community. The grant programme is only available to applicants from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Funding Size

  • Typical grant amount: 1000 USD-7500 USD
  • Maximum award: 7500 USD
  • Project duration supported: Multiyear

Funding varies per project and initiative. For new projects, they will receive between 1000 USD and 3000 USD. Middle-level initiatives will receive between 3000 and 5000 USD. Organisations with more experience will receive up to 7500 USD.

Who Can Apply for the East African Girls and Young Feminist Fund
