About The TIRF Doctoral Dissertation Grants 2026

The International Research Foundation for English Language Education (TIRF) grant program has been established since 2002. It has continued to assist PhD students who are seeking support for their research projects. The foundation supports doctoral students who are near the completion of their studies with funding of up to $5,000.

Each year, the top applicant for the grant award will receive the award in the name of Dr Russell N. Campbell, a founding member of the foundation who passed away in 2003. Aside from funding doctoral students’ projects, the foundation seeks to promote languages in education while bridging the gap between theory and practice, and inform policy.
