Medical team ambushed returning from Nuristan eye camp

Ten members of an International Assistance Mission medical team were shot dead as they drove back to Kabul from a two week eye and general health camp in the remote Parun valley. The team had reached the villages on foot with pack horses. Six Americans, one Briton, one German and two Afghans were killed. One team member was spared.
