Nine national staff members of an INGO were shot and killed in the early hours of June 2 by unknown assailants who stormed their housing complex in Zare (Balkh province). According to early news reports, two of the fatalities were guards protecting the housing complex, two were drivers for the organization and five were aid workers. The INGO has suspended activities in the country as a result of the attack. Means of attack recorded as shooting. Context raid. Actor Not applicable.
