The head of a NNGO was kidnapped by unknown armed men while travelling by motorbike to Lusenda, Fizi territory. Allegedly, the kidnapping occurred following a disagreement on a road project and the perpetrators asked for a ransom. His travel companion was also kidnapped and tortured but released a few hours later (not counted). The aid worker was released on June 17th after the ransom was paid.
