A local female INGO staff worker was detained by Al-Shabaab fighters in Jamaame. She and five other civilians were detained at the same time and put in jail. She was on leave at the time and accused of working for an American NGO. She spent more than a week in prison and was conditionally released (she was required to stay in the village pending investigation on the charges brought against her by Al-Shabaab).
