One aid worker killed and five kidnapped in Dakoro

Five national NGO staffers and one international (Chadian) were kidnapped from their compound by unidentified gunmen believed to be members of a militant group associated with Al Qaeda. One staffer was shot during the abduction and later died of his wounds. The others were released a month later after being held captive in the deserts of Islamist-controlled northern Mali.
