One aid worker killed in Between Chittagong and Banskhali Upazila
A staff member of the NRCS was poisoned/drugged by criminal perpetrators while traveling from Chattogram to Banskhali Upazila on 30th May 2018. He died in the hospital while undergoing treatment. He was carrying an NRCS marked bag and his personal items, including a phone, wallet, documents, ID, and official checks were stolen. The staff member was found unconscious. While it's not possible to discern whether he was specially targeted, it was likely that this was random, according to reports. Means of attack recorded as bodily assault. Context ambush.
