1 INGO international (Japanese) staff agriculture specialist kidnapped at gunpoint with his driver (not included) in eastern Afghanistan near the city of Jalalabad on Tuesday, and a spokesman for the Taliban has claimed the group was involved. It said the driver was released soon afterward. The Foreign Ministry said victim was the first Japanese to be kidnapped in Afghanistan.
